UPES Dehradun is a private university established in 2003 by Uttarakhand State Government. The university is affiliated to Pandit Deendayal Petroleum University. It is recognized by the UGC and accredited by the NBA and NAAC with an A grade. According to the NIRF 2024 data, the university ranks at #41 out of 125 under the ‘Management’ category.
UPES Dehradun ranks among the Top Four Universities in India as per the World University Rankings 2025. It is #1 in International Outlook in Business and Economics. It offers UG and PG programs in Engineering & Technology, Business, Law, Design, Liberal Studies & Media, and Health Sciences.
UPES Dehradun offers admission to the B.Tech program. UPES Dehradun’s fee for B.Tech ranges from INR 12.59 lakhs to INR 20.95 lakhs. To be eligible for admission, the candidate must have qualified 10+2 in the PCM stream with 50% marks from a recognized board. The selection criteria for admission is based on the UPESEAT / JEE Mains / Board Merit / SAT/ CUET scores.
UPES Dehradun also offers a B.Tech VLSI program. The fee for VLSI for 2025 is INR 16.51 lakhs. To be eligible for admission, the candidate must have passed 10+2 in the PCM stream with a minimum of 50% marks from a recognized board. The selection criteria for admission is based on the UPESEAT/ JEE Mains/ SAT/ CUET scores.

Ans. While applying for SCE, Dehradun you have to pay a processing fee of Rs 1,000 that must be submitted with the application form.
Ques. What is the mode of payment at SCE, Dehradun?
Ans. You can pay by both online and offline methods. The processing fee can be paid online or in cash. Cheques are not accepted for payment.
Ques. What if the student is not able to deposit the fee on time?
Ans. If a student fails to deposit his/her fees on or before the date specified, the offer of admission will stand automatically withdrawn and the student will have no claim on the seat which means admission will be canceled.
Ques. How many scholarships can we avail at SCE, Dehradun?
Ans. SCE allows only one scholarship to be availed at a time by the students.
Ques. Is the scholarship valid for the whole study program?
Ans. No, the Scholarship is valid only for 1st Year. For a subsequent year, students need to maintain 75% and above marks in the previous year’s University/Board Exam and 75% and above attendance during the year.
Ques. What are the application fees for UKSEE?
Ans. The application fee for UKSEE(Uttarakhand State Entrance Exam) is Rs.1500 for the General category and Rs.750 for reserved categories.
