JB Institute of Technology is a private institution established by JBIT Group of Institutions in 2009. It is affiliated with Uttarakhand Technical University. It is approved by AICTE and PCI and accredited by the NAAC with an A grade. According to the TOI 2024 reports, the institution ranks at #150 out of 175 under the ‘Engineering’ category. JBIT Dehradun offers admission to B.Tech as its flagship program. The fee for B.Tech for 2024 is INR 3.59 lakhs. To be eligible for admission, the candidates must have qualified 10+2 in the PCM stream with a minimum of 45% marks (5% marks relaxation for reserved category candidates) from a recognized board. The selection criteria for admission is based on the JEE Main / UKSEE scores.

JBIT Dehradun Placement 2024 report is yet to be released. However, according to the past placement data, the highest package offered was INR 9.20 LPA, and the average package was INR 2.50 LPA. The top recruiters were HCL Technologies, Source Soft Solutions, Sheel Bio-Tech, LIXIL, LDT Technology, etc.
